Claire Ratcliffe (MBACP) Psychotherapist, Supervisor & Couples Therapist
43-47 Middle Hillgate
Labyrinth Business Centre
When most people seek the support of a counsellor or therapist, they're often looking to 'fix' a problem. Something might just not feel quite 'right' or you may be consciously aware of what your issue is. I imagine you may have tried several ways to work through this already.
If you want to make genuine changes, to experience a richer, and more fulfilled life but don't know where to start, then therapy can really help.
In our sessions we will look at identifying what it is you would like to work through in therapy, look at the obstacles you have and how you 'get in your own way', and I will work with you, to help you get to the place you would like to be.
I offer both brief, and long-term therapy for adults, couples, and young people.
I am committed to providing a confidential, secure, and supportive environment to explore and work through your difficulties.
If you have any queries, or would like to arrange a session please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have 14 years experience of working in a helping capacity, and have been working as a therapist since 2010 using Integrative Therapy.
Integrative Psychotherapy is a form of therapy that combines various psychological theories.
I have undertaken several forms of counselling and psychotherapy training, and have found a way to blend them together to produce good results for my clients.
Integrative Psychotherapy is a holistic approach, which takes into account your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
There are a number of reasons why you may choose to enter therapy. My main areas of experience include working with: Relationship issues, same sex relationships, Abuse - (emotional, physical, and sexual), separation and divorce, affairs, sexuality issues (LGBT), confusion around sexuality, coming out, identity development, shame, childhood related issues, stress, bereavement, loss, insecurity, family issues, motivation, feeling stuck, self-esteem, self awareness & self acceptance, depression, anxiety, and many more.
Alongside my private practice I have also have experience working within a unit specialised in working with those who have experienced sexual abuse, and areas surrounding this.
I have extensive experience counselling staff in the Occupational Health Division within the NHS, also within local GP surgeries, and other counselling organisations within Greater Manchester. In addition to this, I also facilitate stress, anxiety, and resilience training for staff who work within the NHS.

Relationship & Couples Counselling
I am fully trained and qualified to work with couples at various stages in their relationship. I work with heterosexual and same sex couples.
