Counselling is designed to help you explore the things in life that may be bothering you – however big or small. I am a qualified CBT psychotherapist with experience of helping people to overcome a wide range of problems, including Relationship Difficulties, Anxiety, Depression, Panic and Panic Disorder, Stress and work-related stress, Anger Management, OCD, PTSD, and Couple Therapy.
Counselling helps you explore what might be contributing to your distress or stopping you from reaching your full potential while also helping you to identify more effective coping strategies. The first session is designed to help you to explore what you would like to change, identifying existing difficulties or other issues that might be contributing towards those problematic areas of your life, such as low self-esteem for example. I will help you to set goals and aspirations, and develop more positive ways of coping.
I provide face to face counselling in a safe and relaxing atmosphere, as well as telephone and internet-based therapy sessions. Sessions usually last for 1 hour and, depending on your individual needs, and take place weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
I work within the BACP code of ethics. I am the founder of the CBT Counselling Clinic, a private counselling and therapy practice.
Able to travel long distances, currently working in England and Wales - travel time and distance is charged for. Worked with Cwm Taff NHS counselling service, with Cardiff University and self-referred referrals through an employee assistance programme and other health / psychological providers.
