Jayne Bennett - Counselling Psychologist (MBACP Accredited Counsellor & UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor) | |
Counsellor Profile
I provide a safe, professional, friendly and confidential service to individuals and couples in the Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales area. Having trained separately in psychology and counselling, I tailor the service I provide to suit the specific needs of each individual client (couple).
Working primarily on a Short-term therapy basis (typically between six and eighteen sessions) and long-term therapy when appropriate, I help individuals and couples over the age of sixteen with many different issues and therapeutic aims. As well as my work in private practice, I also fulfil other counselling/therapy roles within the NHS, Charitable and Public sectors.
I practice from a Person-centred perspective and use a combination of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA), in order to help individuals and couples with a broad range of therapeutic needs. I respect that everyone’s problems are very complex and unique. Therefore I believe that a flexible approach has the potential to meet a client’s particular needs at a given time during counselling.
