Profile

In an earlier career I was a flight attendant for an American Airline. As I spoke 4 languages I got frequently roped in to counsel the new girls having studied psychology at College. This was my first real insight into peoples psyche, their different perceptions of situations, in fact their uniqueness. It is because of this that I chose the school of Integrative Counselling which applies itself well to this uniqueness. I decided around 1992 to train as a counsellor as I felt that my qualities of empathy, good understanding of the Human Psyche as well as a lack of judgementality may be of value.

My personality is friendly, empathic, non-judgemental.

I feel that a client would benefit from my work and life experiences underpinned by different schools of counselling, as well a real wish to understand the presenting problem.

I see clients at home in a self-contained office, tastefully decorated with a calming view over gardens and a golf course, a lavatory is opposite the room for the sole use of clients. Double concertina doors cut out outside noise and provide extra privacy.
My practice is in regular supervision/consultation according to the regulations of BACP and I have experienced extensive therapy myself during the course of my studies.
