Sanga Burrough MBACP (Accred.), BA (Hons), Dip. Youth, Cert. Bereavement
I work with clients who have been suffering a range of issues including family issues, stress, bereavement, loss, relationship issues, trauma, depression, anger, dementia, infertility, anxiety and low self esteem, terminal illness and chronic pain.
I have specialist training in Systemic therapy with family issues, bereavement, infertility, youth and young adults and experience working with older people.
Therapy offers you a safe, confidential place to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable. It allows you to talk with someone who is trained to listen attentively and to help you improve things. (BACP 2012)
I am an integrative humanistic counsellor, which means I use my training and expereince in different approaches to suit my clients needs at any given moment. Being an Integrative therapist, means I work in the way which is most useful to you and your issues. Working face to face both long or short term, our counselling is regularly reviewed to ensure it suits your needs.
You may have some questions about the types of therapy or process, there is a useful link below which may answer some of your questions.
Talking to a counsellor can help you understand whats happening, how/why you respond and enable you to find a more helpful way of living your life. This might be reflecting on a single event that has happened or an issue that is reoccurring.
My private practise in central Winchester, I am easily reached from Eastleigh, Romsey, Salisbury, Southampton, Basingstoke, Alresford and other surrounding areas. By car my office is 5 mins walk from a multi storey car park and the Park and Ride stops or by train - 5 mins walk.

Supervision & training
Supervision is about co-creating a safe and contained framework for growth and healing of the therapist. The essence of the work focusing openly and honestly on clinical material in the best interests of the client. I believe its an environment to be empowered to explore any areas of success, concern or difficulty in the knowledge that the purpose of the work is to assist your development, rather than to be judged.View supervision profile
