Profile

Hello there. My name is Frances Mulraney. I am a fully qualified, registered & experienced counsellor/psychotherapist and dual registered nurse, with over 20 years experience working within the NHS & Private Sector.

Having specialised in Substance Misuse & Addictions, Abuse & Anger Management for the past 12 years I now run a successful private practice based in Weymouth Dorset.

I currently work for various statutory & non-statutory agencies (Police, Prison service, Probation, Social Services, GPs, Rethink, Victim Support, Solicitors,Various Employee Assistance Programs & HR departments) I am happy to accept self-referrals directly from clients.

I offer an Integrated Approach depending upon my clients individual needs, varying from Client-Centred/Humanistic to a CBT & Solution Focused Approach.

My average number of sessions per client is between 6-10 sessions, depending upon my clients goals & required outcome for therapy. I always negotiate with clients as to length & duration of therapy & do offer longer term counselling if necessary.

I also provide Supervision for other counsellors & psychotherapists & related professions with a clinical/therapeutic caseload.

Clients & colleagues alike describe my approach as informal, challenging, gentle & professional.
