Counsellor ProfileI am a person-centred counsellor with 11yrs post qualification experience,also accredited.My private practice is in a relaxed,confidential,comfortable seeting,non-clinical but professional.Sessions will be at your pace,safety acceptance and trust being paramount.Central to my approach is you as a person rather than the presenting issues.
Professionally I have worked in several places,accumilating experience and counselling an array of issues.The bulk of my counselling has been in health care environments,in the NHS and private hospitals.I see clients of differing ages mainly 16+ but I have seen younger people.Iam comfortable counselling long term or working shorter term.
As a specialism I have 8yrs experience of working in an Eating Disorder Unit,working with the full spectrum seeing patients from in-patient through to out-patient.

Extra InformationCounselling usually begins with an initial meeting where we meet and you will be able to sense whether you are at ease to have ongoing sessions.Counselling may begin at this point or we could discuss terms of our working agreement,if not done initially it would be done at our next session.
