Profile

Painful experiences, worries about the future or difficult memories can all make it difficult to cope with everyday life. Sometimes life can feel difficult for no particular reason and you don't know who to turn to for help.

Perhaps the problem is very specific and a few sessions and brief interventions may be all you want and need to cope better. Or perhaps you would like to work in a more open ended way, taking time to explore your inner world, working towards personal growth and development. Perhaps the difficulties you are experiencing have been with you for some years, and may take longer to work through. I am able to offer time limited, short term and open ended work, using a psychodynamic model or cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach depending on what you want and need.

Finding the right counsellor/therapist is not easy. Counselling and therapy is very personal and often it is not until you meet that you know if you can work together. This is why I offer a free initial consultation where you can tell me about your difficulties and we can discuss how I might be able to help.

If you would like to find out more about having sessions with me you can call or e-mail me. If you are leaving a message with your details I will get back to you as soon as I can. Confidentiality and discretion are very important and I work to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
