About me

About Courtney Therapy Ltd

Courtney Therapy Ltd is a specialist therapy and supervision practice founded and clinically led by Courtney Schroeder. Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychological support through a team of carefully selected therapists who share the same commitment to high-quality, ethical, and client-centred care.

Every client begins their journey with Courtney Therapy Ltd, where we take time to understand your needs, goals, preferences, and the type of support you're looking for. Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, Courtney personally reviews each enquiry and carefully matches clients with the therapist whose experience, specialist interests, therapeutic approach, and personality are best suited to helping them achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Courtney remains actively involved within the practice as Founder, Clinical Director, Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor. Alongside providing therapy and supervision herself, she offers clinical oversight and ongoing support to the wider therapy team to ensure every client receives a consistently high standard of care.

Our therapists work with adults, young people, couples, families, and professionals across a wide range of emotional, psychological, and relationship difficulties. While every therapist brings their own strengths and areas of expertise, all work within the shared values of warmth, collaboration, evidence-based practice, and respect for every individual's unique experiences.

Whether you work directly with Courtney or with another therapist within the practice, our aim is the same: to provide a safe, supportive, and professional environment where you feel understood, empowered, and able to move towards the life you want.

At Courtney Therapy Ltd, we believe that finding the right therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy. That's why we carefully match each client with the therapist we believe is best placed to support their individual needs, while ensuring the quality, consistency, and ethical standards of the practice remain at the heart of everything we do.

Training, qualifications & experience

My Journey, Training & Clinical Leadership

Courtney Therapy Ltd was founded to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy through a team of carefully selected therapists who share the same commitment to ethical, high-quality, and personalised care.

The practice is led by Founder and Clinical Director Courtney Schroeder, a qualified Integrative Therapist, Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor. Courtney trained as an Integrative Therapist and Psychotherapist through Stamford, qualified as a Clinical Supervisor through The University of Manchester, holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, completed postgraduate study in Developmental Psychology, and undertook doctoral-level Educational Psychology training as a Trainee Educational Psychologist.

With over 15 years' experience across healthcare, psychology, therapeutic services, and research, Courtney provides clinical leadership and oversight to the practice while continuing to offer therapy and supervision. This ensures that every client receives high-quality, ethical, and evidence-informed care.

Every enquiry is personally reviewed by Courtney, who carefully matches each client with the therapist whose experience, specialist interests, and therapeutic style are best suited to their individual needs, goals, and preferences.

Our therapists support adults, young people, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, psychological, and relationship difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, Complex PTSD, OCD, ADHD, autism, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem, personality-related difficulties, and relationship challenges.

As an integrative practice, we draw upon a range of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, EMDR, ERP, DBT, attachment-informed therapy, Gottman Method, trauma-focused approaches, relational therapy, and talking therapy. We believe there is no single approach that suits everyone, which is why therapy is always tailored to the individual.

Whether you work directly with Courtney or another member of the Courtney Therapy Ltd team, our goal is to provide a warm, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic experience where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to create meaningful change.

If you're considering therapy, we invite you to arrange a free introductory call so we can learn more about your needs and match you with the therapist best placed to support you.
