About me

Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Zoe and I am an integrative counsellor working online. Below you will find some information about my practice.

You may have a specific issue bringing you to therapy, or perhaps you have a sense of things generally feeling difficult. Either way, I aim to create a space for you that feels curious, safe and genuine.

As an integrative counsellor, I work in a way that draws from various models of therapy and recognises the uniqueness of each individual. Integrative counselling also aims to facilitate wholeness – or the ‘integration’ of our different psychological parts, some of which may be in conflict with one another, and some of which may be unknown.

My work is relational, meaning I consider it to be a collaborative partnership between us. It is my experience that a strong therapeutic relationship can in itself bring about positive change. I welcome ongoing feedback from anyone I am working with, in order to adapt my approach to a way that best suits your needs.

I am interested in how you experience the world. I will meet you where you’re at and work at a pace that feels OK for you. Together, we can consider the meaning you have made of your experiences and consider ways in which you might be able to move forward.

My first degree was in creative writing and I am happy to incorporate aspects of this (and other forms of creativity) in to our work if this feels useful for you.

I work with a variety of presenting issues, which you will find listed below, but do have particular interest and experience in the following areas:

- Alcohol (this may be supporting you to explore your own relationship with alcohol, or supporting you if you have been impacted by someone else's alcohol use)

- LGBTQ+ identities

- Neurodivergence (regardless of whether you have a formal diagnosis or not)

I appreciate that seeking counselling may feel daunting. I offer a free, no obligation initial consultation online or on the phone. This generally lasts around 20 minutes and will give you the opportunity to ask questions and to get a sense of whether you’d like to work alongside me. Please take note of my availability below.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • COSCA Specialist Certificate in Counselling People Towards Behaviour Change
  • COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching
  • ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills)

I have a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and will regularly attend trainings, access resources and engage with peer groups in order to broaden my understanding and expand my interventions. Some recent CPD topics have included:

- working with shame
- chemsex awareness training
- working with sexual violence from a feminist perspective

Outside of my private practice, I am currently teaching on a counselling skills course and working as an alcohol counsellor within a charity.
