About me
We all need help and support at times in our life, sometimes for a short period of time, maybe to help with confidence regarding a certain situation or maybe we require longer term support to help with untangling our past to help shape our future. Whatever the reason, counselling can be a nurturing and reflecting journey, enabling growth and powerful transformation. I learn from my clients as much as they learn from me, as I believe that we are all equal, spiritual beings on this crazy, beautiful and often chaotic human journey. Please reach out to me if you feel like I could assist you, in your unique journey of transformation and growth.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am the facilitator of a weekly women's support group at Open Door in Colne which is an amazing local charity, offering food parcels, low cost cafe, budget advice and free counselling. The group is a drop in friendship group, where we laugh and hold each others stories in a supportive space.
My reflective CPD is currently based around exploring my creative side including writing introspective spoken word in collaboration with acoustic guitar, (Moth and Lady Jackdaw). I find this so helpful for my my own mental health journey, documenting my deep and often dark thoughts and feelings and learning to embrace my shadow side. I believe that we all have a creative side and often work with my clients to align their lives with their own unique creativity.
I am a qualified counsellor with a first class BA Hons degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

Further information
My way of working is organic and fluid but I can be structured if the need is there. I cherish my work as a counsellor and my aim is for the client to feel more in control of their life and their emotions and to have more understanding and self awareness of themselves. Often clients just need a guiding hand to get back on track or sometimes deeper past trauma work is needed. Ultimately, I am passionate about helping to improve my clients lives, and I often like to describe myself as a cheerleader, whoop whooping from the sidelines of their lives, with them at every step of the way.
