About me
Hello! I’m Tristan, a qualified male counsellor with a passion for walking beside others through life’s challenges and helping them discover new perspectives along the way.
I understand that life can be tough, and often doesn’t go to plan. I also believe there is strength and beauty in the gift of life. After later training as a counsellor and working in charities and structured organisations, I’ve created my own counselling space where people can feel safe to be fully themselves, without judgement.
Over time, I’ve worked as a counsellor with people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, including in a local college and within charities. This has involved supporting students navigating anxiety about the future, parents experiencing postnatal challenges, individuals in midlife reflecting on direction, and those later in life exploring meaning and legacy. Wherever you are in your life, you are welcome here.
I bring nearly 20 years of experience prior to counselling, with a background in roles supporting families and working alongside neurodivergent people. This informs my inclusive, person-centred approach, where your individual needs and experiences are respected and valued.
I believe that true understanding comes from compassion. When we learn to offer compassion to ourselves, we unlock new paths for freedom and growth. In sessions, I create a space where all emotions are welcome, from tears to laughter. Together, we’ll equip you with the tools you need to move toward who you want to be.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
