MA & BA Hons - Supervisor, Psychotherapist-Counsellor

About me

If you feel overwhelmed by a life change, are struggling with a sense of loss, or are finding it difficult to manage the complexities of your wellbeing, please know that you do not have to face this alone. I believe that therapy is first and foremost a human encounter: a safe and non-judgemental space where your story can be heard and received with care. My role is to walk alongside you as we explore the challenges you are facing, helping you to make sense of your feelings and rediscover your inner resilience. In my practice, I integrate the warmth of a person-centred approach with the depth of existential philosophy and the analysis of symbolic processes, offering you a space where your experience is not simply managed but understood in its deepest meaning.

As a BACP accredited psychotherapist and an NCPS accredited supervisor with over 20 years of experience and 7,800 hours of practice, I bring a rich wealth of knowledge to our sessions, combining clinical rigour with a philosophical vision of the human psyche. Having supported my own loved ones through severe mental health difficulties, I bring genuine empathy and lived experience to our work, ensuring that you feel truly seen. Furthermore, as a neurodivergent professional, I am particularly attentive to the diverse ways in which we process and communicate, ensuring our relationship is built on authentic respect for your unique way of being. I currently offer sessions exclusively online, providing a flexible and welcoming environment to begin this journey together.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

THE ART OF ENCOUNTER: AN INTEGRATIVE PERSPECTIVE

My practice is fundamentally Person-Centred, rooted in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for change. However, I recognize that complex human experiences often require a multifaceted lens. Consequently, I integrate fragments of diverse methodologies—ranging from the depth of Jungian and Psychodynamic insights to the structured reflection of Narrative therapy and Mindfulness. I also draw upon Bibliotherapy and both Eastern and Western philosophies to enrich our dialogue. These tools are never applied rigidly; instead, they are woven into our encounter to support your unique process of self-discovery. By blending the warmth of a humanistic core with the analytical rigour of existential and symbolic thought, I offer a tailored space where different therapeutic languages serve to deepen your journey toward authenticity.

· Adaptive Elements: Humanistic CBT for practical containment
· Core Foundation: Person-Centred Therapy
· Existential Framework: Drawing on Eastern and Western Philosophies
· Depth Insights: Jungian & Psychodynamic Perspectives
· Narrative & Symbolic Analysis: For exploring life complexities
· Therapeutic Coaching: Pragmatic tools for goal-setting and life transitions
· Reflective Tools: Mindfulness & Bibliotherapy

THERAPEUTIC COACHING
My integrative approach is further enhanced by the inclusion of Therapeutic Coaching, which I employ as a pragmatic tool when the client’s journey calls for focused action and goal-oriented clarity. Rather than a separate practice, coaching within my framework acts as a bridge between deep existential reflection and the practicalities of life transitions. It allows us to translate the insights gained from symbolic and philosophical enquiry into concrete steps toward authenticity. By combining the rigorous containment of psychotherapy with the proactive momentum of coaching, I ensure that the therapeutic encounter is not only a space for profound understanding but also a catalyst for tangible change in your daily life. This synthesis ensures that even the most complex internal shifts find a practical resonance in how you inhabit your world.
