About me
I am an experienced psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist offering short (specific issue based) and long-term therapy in central London. I have experience in working with adults of all ages, cultural backgrounds and identities, supporting a variety of emotional difficulties. My particular interest lies in the area of treating anxiety and depression.
My approach:
Simply put, the psychodynamic approach is about in-depth work that helps clients make sense of their unconscious thoughts and feelings, and understand how these might be sabotaging or impacting on their current lives.
Past experiences that have not been sufficiently processed and thought about can generate a wide range of symptoms, such as stress and mental fatigue, obsessive worries, low-self-esteem, feeling stuck and out of sync with the world, and so on. The vital part of the process of resolving and overcoming these is having the experience of being truly seen and understood by another person. A new, wider perspective on your difficulties and struggles, together with an astute insight and supportive guidance, is something that only a good therapeutic relationship can provide.

Whatever you might be going through, I’d be very interested to hear about it. Please feel free to email me or call me to arrange an initial consultation so we can talk about what you hope to achieve and how best to get there.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
