About me
Hello, I’m Simone. I offer face-to-face sessions in West London and online.
If you are facing anxiety, navigating complex relationships, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, you’ve already taken a brave first step by considering therapy. I’m here to support you through this transformative journey.
Together, we will create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can safely explore your thoughts and feelings, reflect on your relationships, and uncover the experiences shaping your life. My approach focuses on building an open, trusting, and empathic connection, empowering you to feel heard and understood.
Therapy can be a powerful catalyst for positive change, and help you shift your perspective on yourself, your life, and your relationships. By exploring past and present experiences, we’ll develop greater awareness of how they interconnect and influence you, leading to greater balance, confidence, and fulfillment.
As seasons change, it’s common to face renewed anxieties or feel unsettled. Whether these challenges feel familiar or new, I am here to guide you through them with compassion and support tailored to your pace and needs.
If you are ready to talk, let’s take the next steps together to embrace change and growth. You don’t have to navigate this alone: I’m here to listen and support you as you find your way forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained to work integratively, which means I can draw upon different theories and approaches, such as Person-Centred Theory (PCT), Psychodynamic Theory, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). My work is grounded in a compassionate, relational approach that actively identifies and challenges systemic inequities and recognises the profound ways personal identities and social contexts interact.
I have experience working with diverse age groups and cultures, and I support clients in their personal growth, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family issues, abuse, trauma, bereavement, and low self-esteem.
I engage in ongoing professional development to enhance my skills and stay updated with best practices in counselling. I attend regular supervision, where I reflect on my practice and ensure that I provide the highest quality of care to my clients. Regular supervision, rigorous training, and ongoing research help me maintain objectivity, improve my skills, and uphold ethical standards.
Alongside my private practice, I work with NHS referrals in a charity where I provide free counselling and clinical assessments to refugees and asylum seekers in their mother tongue. This humbling role, which often involves processing trauma, losses, and difficult life transitions, allows me to be attuned to diverse experiences and support individuals in finding confidence while navigating unique challenges.
As an integrative counsellor, artist, and author, I can offer you a professional and safe space for therapeutic self-expression; if you want, we can incorporate in our work imaginative or symbolic tools to gently access subconscious thoughts and emotions, deepening your self-awareness and supporting healing.
I work within an anti-oppressive, collaborative process; together, we can explore the past or focus on the present whilst I support you in exploring your inner world. I will tailor our sessions and adapt our approach to fit and meet your needs. In this process, you will gain insights and discover what empowers you to cultivate a more fulfilling life.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
