About me
Perhaps you're feeling anxious, stuck, or low, struggling in your relationships, or carrying a quiet sense of not being good enough. Perhaps there are habits you can't seem to break, or patterns of people-pleasing that leave you exhausted. Or perhaps you're wrestling with bigger questions about meaning and purpose, who you really are, or how to make sense of your upbringing.
At Fulfilled Being Counselling, I offer a warm, non-judgemental space to explore what's happening for you at your own pace. My work is strongly informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps us get to know the different "parts" of ourselves with curiosity and compassion rather than fighting them. I also draw on other approaches and my own lived experience, so our work is shaped around you.
Whatever your beliefs or background, you're welcome here. I won't tell you what to think, but if the deeper questions matter to you, there's room for them.
I believe healing happens through genuine connection. Together, we can work towards greater self-understanding, self-worth, and a sense of becoming more whole.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (MBACP). I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling, a Masters in Psychology, a degree in Philosophy, and an MBA, with a dissertation on spiritual leadership.
I have studied IFS in depth, both in my training and personally, including over 40 hours of my own IFS therapy and wide reading across its literature.
My MBA research into spiritual leadership led to years of work exploring meaning, purpose and inner life with leaders, which still shapes how I work today.
Alongside private practice, I work in supported accommodation with people in recovery from addiction, which has given me a deep understanding of addiction, trauma, codependency and rebuilding self-worth.
I have also written on contemplative psychology for The Psychologist, the British Psychological Society's magazine, and I'm featured in the book Leadership Matters.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
