About me

My speciality is bereavement, trauma and loss

About me - I am an approachable experienced accredited BACP Integrative Counsellor and Supervisor, supporting adults of all ages, couples and young people.

I offer online or telephone counselling and also Face to Face (Please note there are stairs) or walking therapy in the Stamford area.

Throughout my years of counselling, I find most of my experience comes with bereavement, loss and trauma. Life can throw some painful situations our way, it can feel very painful, chaotic and lonely. I hold a safe, uninterrupted space and have a gentle approach that can put people at ease very quickly.

I have worked in a variety of different setting, hospital, hospice, bereavement/trauma charities, private practice and counselling agencies. I have also managed teams working with illness and death. I have supported many parents and individuals when a child or baby dies, all pregnancy loss and also working with pregnancy after loss.

I also support  anticipatory grief, illness, traumatic and suicide related deaths, survivors guilt and all loss.

Equally, if you are feeling at a crossroads in your life with fear, uncertainty and dread, having relationship issues, separation and divorce. Work related issues, anxiety or stress related situations, I would be most happy to work with you.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
