About me

Hello, I'm Sasha, I am a psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Counsellor. In my private practice, (online via Zoom and face-to-face in Sevenoaks), I see both Couples and Individuals.

Working together.

My aim is to help you live a more connected and meaningful life. I use a psychodynamic approach to bring to light feelings and thoughts which you might not have been aware of but could be currently influencing your life in the shape of unhelpful behaviours, ideas or beliefs.

Together we can identify what is holding you back or keeping you stuck so you can then make long-lasting changes to personality and ways of relating. The objective is for you to gain a better understanding of yourself and to enable you to make different choices moving forward.

While I see individuals, I also spend a lot of time working with couples.

I believe our choice of partner is one of the most significant we ever have made. If we feel the relationship - for whatever reason is not going well - this in itself can become highly stressful to cope with...

All sorts of issues can destabilise a relationship- drifting apart and struggling to reconnect, an affair, being caught in a negative cycle of unresolved arguments, communication difficulties, extended family pressures, issues around sex and intimacy...  some couples arrive wanting to strengthen the relationship, others want to find a way to split up but co-parent when children are involved.

As what is impacting on your relationship comes to light and issues are worked through I work with you to deepen your understanding of yourself and your partner. I help you both become reflective about your own part in the relationship and what you can each change.

If you have any questions or to book a session, please get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
