About me

About me

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist offering individual therapy to adults. I provide a warm, compassionate, and non judgmental space where we can work together to explore what feels difficult and make sense of what is troubling you.

How can I help?

Perhaps you are stuck in repeating patterns that feel hard to break, particularly in relationships. Or feel stuck in emotional pain or turmoil. Perhaps you are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, addiction problems, bereavement, or going through a difficult life transition. Or you may be feeling lost, stuck or disconnected. Perhaps you would like to explore how past experiences shape your current behaviour and gain a greater understanding of yourself.

My safe, non judgmental therapy offers us a space to gently explore these patterns, helping you develop insight, understanding, and new ways of relating to yourself and others. We can work together to reduce suffering, build new ways of living with healthier boundaries and emotional regulation techniques.

Together we look at what’s no longer serving you and build new ways of relating to yourself and others with more clarity, compassion, and choice.

What is therapy with me like?

Therapy with me is an invitation to look beneath the surface. We explore the deeper layers of your experience, the beliefs, fears, and relational patterns that have shaped you. I hold a warm and non-judgmental space where you don't have to hold everything together. I offer thoughtful challenge to aid self understanding and create meaningful change.

My experience spans a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. We move at a pace that feels safe, and the aim is always to support your growth, not to push you before you’re ready.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling and over 10 years’ experience as an integrative therapist working within NHS and charity settings.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, person-centred and relational therapy, allowing the work to be tailored to your individual needs.

I am also trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, a psychodynamic, time limited structured psychotherapy aimed at addressing the connection between relational patterns and emotional distress.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
