About me

Hi, my name is Dr Ranjeet Karir. With extensive experience in addressing complex interpersonal issues, I am a dedicated HCPC registered Chartered Counselling Psychologist committed to helping individuals navigate and overcome the emotional and psychological impacts of domestic abuse, childhood trauma, bullying, and vicarious trauma. My approach is empathetic and client-centred, focusing on empowering individuals to understand themselves and their relationships better. I have worked with common mental health difficulties as well as more complex difficulties. I have worked with a range of different populations and I particularly enjoy working with South Asian women, helping them navigate the unique cultural challenges they face. With a deep understanding of cultural dynamics and identity issues, I aim to empower my clients to achieve greater self-awareness and emotional well-being. I specialise in trauma-informed therapy, focusing on understanding, making sense of and healing from traumatic experiences.

Therapeutic Approach:
I utilise culturally sensitive and client-centred therapeutic approaches, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to the specific needs of each individual. I aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where clients feel safe exploring their cultural identities and interpersonal relationships.

Experience:
With over 10 years of experience, I have worked extensively with individuals in diverse settings, including the domestic abuse sector, the NHS and non-profit organizations. My work focuses on helping clients reconcile cultural expectations with personal aspirations, fostering resilience and growth.

What I Offer:

Flexible Scheduling: I understand that life can be busy, so I offer a range of appointment times, including evenings and weekends, to fit your schedule.

Free 15 Minute Consultation: Your initial consultation is completely free. We'll discuss your needs and goals, and I'll explain how therapy can help you.

Confidential and Secure: Sessions are conducted online through a secure platform, ensuring your privacy and comfort.
