About us
Hi there! Welcome to Rainbow Junction Therapy - a specialist therapy service for all LGBTQ+ people. We offer bespoke and adapted psychological therapy to children, teens, young people, adults and older adults from the LGBTQ+ communities. We have specialist practitioners who work with gender dysphoria/incongruence, bisexual mental health, family planning, mood difficulties, ADHD, Autism, self-harmful behaviours, and much more. We have three core therapy pillars: 1) knowledgeable and experienced therapists, 2) safe and empowering therapy and 3) always intersectional therapy - which fully centres your needs and goals.
Training, qualifications & experience
All of our clinicians are accredited & regulated by professional bodies. This includes the Health and Care Professions Council for our Clinical Psychologists, the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies for our CBT therapists, and other DBT and Schema professional bodies.
Member organisations *
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information
We know that ‘off the shelf’ therapies don’t always work as well as they could for LGBTQ+ people. This is because there are unique experiences and challenges that cisgender and/or heterosexual people don’t have to manage. We make sure that all of our therapies are adapted, safe, affirmative and empowering.
Therapy will always be meaningfully adapted. This includes specific focus on variables related to LGBTQ experience (including 'coming out', shame, navigating relationship and work etc) alongside other life experiences that are less connected to being LGBTQ. Our clinicians will always adopt an intersectional approach; this means they will consider other important parts of your identity, too.
If we can be of assistance to you, your family, your children, your friends, your partner or anyone else you care about, please do just get in touch. We will be sure to have a clinician available that will suit your specific needs and identities, to make sure that therapy works for you.
