About me

Hello and welcome! Firstly, I know how much it takes to even start the search for a counsellor and you have already done that bit!
The next important thing is that you find the right counsellor for you which is why I offer a free 30 minute Zoom call to explore if that might be me.
In the introductory session you will be able to briefly explain what you want to work on and I will explain how I work. By the end of that no obligation Zoom session we will have more of an idea if we are a good fit to work together weekly on Zoom moving forward.
You might be wondering why you should get in touch with me? My approach ( I have been told) is warm, kind and nurturing but I am not a silent nodding counsellor by any means . I do not tell clients what to do but do help clients to explore what their options are to help them move forward .
I am delighted to help clients transform their lives often from barely surviving to thriving. I love it when clients, with my encouragement, work on their self care, confront their demons and suppressed emotions, tackle suppressed or recent loss and grief, start relating to others differently ( difficult colleagues, friends and family) and start following their dreams and goals!
Tackling sadness, anxiety, depression, feeling lost or overwhelmed? I can help you move forward.
Struggling with relationships? I work successfully with individuals and couples to help them communicate more effectively.
Living with a loved one with dementia, or choosing to stay with someone who can’t or doesn’t see or meet your needs, I can support you.
I love to help clients move forward regardless of gender identity, who you love, what country or culture you are from or what religion you practice (or if you are not spiritual at all) . We are all human and all have our own struggles and I can offer support for whatever you need support with.
Why not get in touch and we can meet and discuss what you need help with and see if we are a good fit to work together.
I look forward to meeting you on Zoom should you wish to get in touch!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
