Peter Noble (Registered MBACP, Psychotherapeutic Counselling)
About me
If you’re struggling with life, even if you can’t put your finger on why... perhaps you're suffering deep or debilitating anxiety; an overwhelming sense of worthlessness? Low self-esteem? I have in depth training and experience of helping people with issues ranging from grief, depression and loneliness, to existential anxiety, PTSD and suicidal thoughts. I can alleviate stress and help you explore your difficulties and emotions in a comfortable, relaxing and confidential manner.
I'm a laid back guy and this helps in allowing my clients to feel relaxed and safe, vital for working in depth on issues such as historical trauma, sexual, physical and psychological abuse which require a strong therapeutic connection and trust.
I'm an Integrative Humanistic Person Centred Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, which means I combine many modalities of therapy including CBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, phenomenology.. But I also have a sense of humour, I'm creative in my style and have a flare for employing the use of metaphor, active imagination, Guided Imagery and dream analysis in promoting exploration of the subconscious mind. Sharing the journey to understanding and freeing my clients from unrealistic expectations and critical judgements of themselves is core to my practice.
Based in Whitley Bay, contact me to book a session or chat through your therapy options. We can talk about your concerns, I’ll help guide you to your solutions.
With lockdown grinding on I'm now offering online therapy (video call sessions via VSee). Walk and talk therapy is also available on and around the amazing beaches near Whitley Bay, especially when it's not raining! :D Please just ask.
Pete.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
