About me

You have come here for help and I hear you. Do you feel that you’ve lost touch with your real ‘self’? Perhaps life has taken you down a path you hadn’t expected. You might be looking at your relationships and career and wondering why you feel the way you do. This can leave you feeling lonely, anxious and depressed and every other emotion in between. Talking these things through with someone can help you to unravel your thoughts and feelings and find a way forward. If this is what you're looking for, I can offer face to face counselling at my practice which is based in Blackpool on the beautiful Fylde Coast.

I specialise in the person-centred approach to therapy. This means that I will sit with you in a confidential space while you explore your feelings and while you work out what’s right for you. Talking to a qualified therapist can make all the difference, especially when sharing your feelings with friends and family doesn't feel possible.

If you would like to find out more about person-centred therapy and if it’s what you need, please drop me a line by email to arrange an initial assessment. My practice is situated within a counselling organisation where you will be welcomed with warmth and respect.

BACP

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
