About me
I offer counselling in a supportive environment where your voice can be heard. Together we can explore your feelings and help improve your experience of life. My approach is based on respect, compassion and understanding, placing you at the centre of sessions.
I use an integrative approach to counselling which means that I draw from, and combine various therapeutic techniques. My work is somatically informed which involves recognising and adding comfort to uneasy sensations in the body. I have experience of working with adults covering a range of issues. I provide counselling in a confidential and non-judgemental environment.
Counselling can reduce anxious feelings, improve your well-being and relationships and help you to move forward in more rewarding ways. It can improve your emotional health and aid quicker recovery from disappointments. A greater sense of self-awareness can enable healing and growth and steers us away from unhelpful recurring themes and patterns. In turn, this promotes a change in the way circumstances are experienced through reduced uneasiness and sometimes, changed perspectives.
I provide a safe setting where you can discuss your concerns openly and be heard with empathy. You can freely explore your feelings and thoughts. I will share my professional understanding with you to help identify the links between how you feel, think, act or don't act – empowering you to make real, positive changes in your life. This is a unique relationship, which aims to make life better.
If you would like to get in touch, I offer a free 30-minute online session to understand what brings you to counselling. Feel free to give me a call or send me an email so we can arrange this. I offer counselling online and on the telephone.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
