About me

I specialise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma.

I integrate a holistic approach which includes cognitive behavioural, EMDR and psychodynamic models of therapy, which are proven to be effective ways to support your needs.

The first step is to kindly contact me via email, telephone or text. We can informally discuss your needs and the type of support you may require. We can then look at arranging an initial assessment to further explore the best ways to support you, and for you to ask any questions you may have.

The initial assessment meeting will will allow me to gain an understanding your needs and goals. From this I can suggest a personalised treatment plan to suit you.

I offer tailored supportive therapy which is confidential, safe, caring and proven to achieve the best positive outcomes.

Learning to gain an understanding of your symptoms and any underlying issues plays a vital role to help you develop the recourses required to live a healthy, productive and satisfying life.

The therapy models I incorporate into your care are:

CBT is a psychotherapeutic approach which has been developed and adjusted over the last 30 years or so. An essential part of CBT therapy is to examine the thoughts and beliefs connected to our moods, behaviours and bodily sensations, and by doing so we can become more aware of dysfunctional patterns of thinking which we associate with emotional and behavioural problems. Together we will work, to challenge, and in time modify these into more constructive ways.

EMDR is a remarkable method used to treat the symptoms of Anxiety, Depression and Additions. EMDR therapy uses bilateral stimulation, right/left eye movement, or tactile stimulation, or sound which repeatedly activates the opposite sides of the brain releasing emotional experiences which are ''trapped'' in the nervous system. EMDR allows you to process memories and emotions effectively to support your well being.

I am accredited by the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP), National Counsellors Association Creditation (NCAC), and BACP reg
