About me

I work either in person (based in Carshalton or Banstead) or online (Zoom) or telephone.

Therapy is difficult as it requires you to look at your life and understand how and why you life is the way it is. There could be many reasons as to why you have considered therapy such as relationship breakdown, loss, anxiety. And many reasons why you have thought not to go to therapy such as judgement, change, the unknown. Or simply you don't know what has drawn you to counselling but you feel it could help.

My aim as a counsellor is to make the journey as comfortable as I can for you by offering a safe, accepting and confidential space to explore your issues and concerns at your own pace. With the end goal being that clients lead happy, healthy and informed lives.

You have taken the first step by trying to find the right counsellor for you, if you are interested in me being that person for you, please feel free to call me or email me to arrange an initial appointment. If I am unable to take your call, please leave a voicemail. I aim to reply to voicemails and emails within 48 hours of receiving them.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
