About me
Senior Specialist Eating Disorder & Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
Specialisms: Eating Disorders, Body Image Issues, Yo-Yo Dieting, Perfectionism, Anxiety, OCD and Low Self-Esteem
Lead Therapist and Founder of Wildflower Hill Therapy - www.wildflowerhilltherapy.co.uk
I’m a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (BABCP) and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience working in specialist NHS Eating Disorder Services. Alongside my NHS role, I run a private practice - Wildflower Hill Therapy - a carefully curated team of experienced associate therapists who specialise in eating disorders and related difficulties. We offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy both online and in person.
I bring both clinical expertise and deep compassion to the therapy space. As well as my private practice I also work as a Senior Eating Disorder Therapist within the NHS and am also a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (BABCP), with a specialist focus on eating disorders. In my NHS role, I provide one-to-one psychological therapy, run group therapy programmes for Binge Eating Disorder, and deliver training and supervision to other clinicians working in the field.
I am trained and experienced in several NICE-recommended treatments for eating disorders, including MANTRA, SSCM, and CBT-E/CBT-T for Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating. I use an integrative approach, drawing on various psychological models to tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. I also offer supported meals, cooking sessions, and social eating in local restaurants, helping clients challenge food-related fears and build a healthier, more flexible relationship with eating.
I specialise in helping individuals with body-image or eating-related challenges, whether related to specific diagnoses or using eating as a way to cope with other life difficulties. I also have extensive experience supporting clients with related struggles, including body image issues, OCD, low self-esteem, perfectionism, anxiety, and depression.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, respectful, and deeply rooted in empathy. I understand how personal and vulnerable this work can feel, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Whether your goal is to reduce food-related anxiety, build a healthier relationship with your body, or simply feel more in control and at peace, I will support you with compassion and care to move toward the life you want to live, one not defined by food, weight, or shame, but by self-worth, connection, and possibility.
Contacting a therapist can be daunting, but it can be the first step towards a happier, more fulfilling future. It's important to find the right therapist and someone that you feel is a good fit for you. Before beginning work together it is often helpful to have a telephone conversation or email contact to discuss your needs. I also offer a free 15 minute zoom sessions to allow you to get a feel for me and answer any questions you may have. Feel free to email me and we can arrange this.
I offer face-to-face clinics in Hove (Brighton) and Rustington (Littlehampton). My gentle, hypoallergenic therapy dog, Dougal, can also be present during sessions at the Rustington clinic - a welcome companion for those who find comfort in canine support.
