About me

I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor ( CTA-P) and Supervisor. I hold a Diploma in Clinical Supervision, an MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, an MA in Psychology or Religion and a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA), and the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA).

I have over 20 years of experience working therapeutically within complex needs and enduring mental health issue settings, and a genuine passion for mental health accessibility and social justice.

My Core Philosophy

I take an integrative approach, blending methods from Humanistic, Psychodynamic, relational, and radical psychiatry, tailoring them to your unique needs. Central to my work is the understanding of how relationships - both past and present - shape your experiences and patterns. I strive to create a safe, trusting space where open dialogue and authentic connection can flourish.

Rather than relying solely on diagnostic labels, I explore how social context, power dynamics, and systemic factors influence psychological experiences. My practice is rooted in an anti-oppressive, inclusive, trauma-informed, and decolonial framework. I recognise how forces such as racism, capitalism, transphobia, and other systemic inequities impact mental health, helping clients work through internalised beliefs and move beyond survival modes.

I offer a neuro-inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming, trans-expansive, and non-ableist space where all are welcome and respected.

Modalities & Techniques

I work with a rich blend of therapeutic approaches, weaving together talk therapy, body-centred practices, creative arts, and breathwork to meet you wherever words may fall short. These tools offer gentle ways to explore your experiences, awaken insight, and reconnect with your body and spirit. I honour your inner wisdom and the knowledge you carry within, guiding you to trust your own voice and strengths. Healing, I believe, is not only personal but shared - rooted in connection, community, and the support that grows when we hold space for one another.

Further information

My integrative therapeutic approach draws on evidence-based models to provide personalized support in one-to-one, couple, and group settings.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals affected by anxiety and depression, anger management,  and with addiction and addictive behaviours, having worked for a couple of decades across multiple community services. This experience allows me to quickly recognize and understand repetitive patterns and behaviours that may create blockages in growth and relationships.

All of my work is conducted under the guidance of qualified supervisors, which I consider an essential part of a therapist’s ongoing development.

I also work as a clinical supervisor, supporting staff, students, and trainees at all stages of their professional journey. My supervisory approach emphasizes curiosity, reflective practice, and clinical competence through an intersectional lens.

I offer flexible therapeutic options, including single-session, solution-focused therapy, as well as short-, medium-, and long-term work, tailored to individual needs and agreed contracts. Both psychotherapy and clinical supervision are available in one-to-one or group formats, according to need and arrangement.
