About me
Seeking counselling can feel like a big step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of that journey. I aim to offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind at your own pace.
I am a BACP-registered counsellor with a Level 7 degree in Counselling and extensive professional training across a range of therapeutic approaches. My approach is relational, meaning I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients, recognising that there is no single approach that suits everyone. Together, we can explore what feels most helpful for you and adapt our work to meet your individual needs.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, identity concerns, cultural pressures, or feeling overwhelmed, I offer a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences, develop greater self-understanding, and move towards the changes that matter to you.
As a South Asian Muslim counsellor, I understand that culture, faith, family expectations, and identity can have a profound impact on our wellbeing and how we experience the world. I have a particular interest in faith-informed counselling and welcome clients who wish to explore the role of faith, spirituality, and personal values within therapy. For Muslim clients, I can integrate Islamic perspectives into counselling where this feels helpful and meaningful. However, my practice is inclusive and open to people of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, and beliefs. Whatever your experiences or worldview, you will be met with respect, curiosity, and without judgement.
To make counselling as accessible as possible, I offer both online and in-person sessions and understand that many people need flexibility around work, study, family commitments, or caring responsibilities. Evening appointments are available, and I will always do my best to accommodate session times that work for you.
If you are considering counselling, I welcome the opportunity to discuss how we might work together and whether I am the right fit for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
