About me

As a BABCP-accredited psychotherapist, I bring over a decade of rich experience to my practice. My primary areas of expertise involve empowering individuals to overcome depression and anxiety disorders, including relationship anxiety and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. I employ a comprehensive approach, integrating cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, narrative and compassion-focused therapies. The aim of sessions are to provide a helpful space to problem-solve, explore and develop new ways of coping, all underpinned by clinical research.

When we consider the impact of mental health challenges, they can reverberates through major aspects of our lives, influencing our relationships, personal development and self-acceptance, often leaving us feeling trapped. Within the context of my therapeutic sessions, I am dedicated to cultivating a secure and positive environment. This serves as a conducive space where you can develop confidence and instigate meaningful changes, effectively dismantling barriers hindering your ability to progress and move forwards. Collaboratively, we can navigate the complexities you face, arming you with the necessary tools to regain control and progress confidently.

Helping others to make positive change is a source of immense fulfilment for me. It does not matter where we begin but that you have the right support to begin. Feel free to reach out with any inquiries. I extend an invitation for a complimentary 30-minute call, providing you with the opportunity to talk about your specific needs. This session carries no obligation, serving as a supportive platform for you to pose questions and make informed decisions regarding your well-being.

Should you opt to initiate therapy sessions with me, we would begin by developing a shared understanding of your concerns. Subsequently, we would then craft a tailored plan to help.

Within my daily work, I offer clinical supervision to trainees, junior clinicians and peers. I also continue to participate in clinical research trials offering psychotherapy.

I have worked for many years as a specialist Occupational Therapist, supporting clients with severe mental and emotional distress, both in hospital and community settings. I do not currently offer this service privately, however, I remain accredited and registered with the HCPC. My clinical experience here helps me consider both personal and environmental adaptations needed to support change outside of the therapy room.
