About me

As a BABCP-accredited psychotherapist with over a decade of experience, I specialise in supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety disorders, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD). My approach is holistic and integrative, drawing on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Narrative Therapy.

You don’t need a diagnosis to seek therapy. Many of the people I work with come feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally drained, or battling painful and shifting emotions. You might be struggling with constant worry, intrusive thoughts, low mood, or a sense that something just isn’t right. Therapy offers a safe, compassionate space to make sense of these experiences, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward in a meaningful way.

I often work with people facing:

Generalised anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, health anxiety, social anxiety, depression, burnout, persistent low self-worth, complex trauma, emotional sensitivity, and chronic self-criticism.

Mental health difficulties can affect every part of life—relationships, self-esteem, physical wellbeing, and motivation. My aim is to create a warm and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe, explore what’s holding you back, and begin to make meaningful, lasting change. We’ll work together to develop practical strategies, improve emotional regulation, and help you move towards a more fulfilling life aligned with your values.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds, including those who are neurodivergent or part of the LGBTQ+ community. My work is grounded in psychological safety, flexibility, and deep respect for your individual story.

I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation so you can share what’s bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit. There’s no pressure—just space to think about what you need and how therapy may help.

Experience

For many years I  offered treatments within the NHS, holding positions within primary care and a specialist trauma service. Within my daily work, I have offered clinical supervision to trainees, junior clinicians and peers. I also participated in several clinical research trials, offering psychotherapy.

I have worked for many years as a specialist Occupational Therapist, supporting clients with severe mental and emotional distress, both in hospital and community settings. I do not currently offer this service privately, however, I remain accredited and registered with the HCPC. My clinical experience here helps me consider both personal and environmental adaptations needed to support change outside of the therapy room.
