About me

I am an Accredited person-centred counsellor, which means the session is all about you and what you want to bring.

I am also a Certified Cyber Therapist - I work online only, so you don't have to travel, the hassle of parking, so you can be in the privacy of your own home and in your own surroundings.

It's all about you - freedom to choose the session day & time you want (if available)

I offer a flexible service, so you don't need to have the same session time every week.  I can work evenings and occasional weekends by arrangement.

How can counselling help?

Talking about our challenges in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment can help.  We can sometimes feel overwhelmed by things going round in our head and talking can help us get everything into some sort of order.

Sometimes anxiety can manifest its self as actual physical ailments.  Talking about our anxiety can help with this and can help ease these (if other things have been ruled out by a doctor)

1st Session

If you have never accessed help before it can be really scary.  My aim is to help you feel relaxed and able to talk your challenges through.

To do this I offer a 20 minutes free session to see if you feel comfortable talking to me, not to go into any great detail.

In this session it gives me the opportunity to see if I can help you, I want to make sure you will get the best out of the service you are paying for.

About Me

I learnt about this profession as someone who wanted more information about depression. A family member was diagnosed with depression, and I wanted to help them.

I started on a taster course in 2010 and learnt lots of skills, but my thirst for knowledge and helping people developed from there. In 2015 I qualified as a counsellor.

The journey I have been on, taught me to trust the process. I learnt so much about myself as well as the skills to help other people. The journey was not an easy one at times and there are times where I thought of not carrying it on, but it was worth it, and helping people and seeing how they can flourish by talking through their problems, makes it worthwhile.

I am a person-centred counsellor, which means the session is all about you and what you want to bring.

I am not here to judge, I am here to listen.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have worked with a number of charities, including the Women’s Centre and other charities close to where I live.

Part of being a counsellor means we are constantly learning and I do lots of CPD (Continuing Professional Development), to help evolve my practice and learn new skills to help, and get a better understanding of challenges that clients may bring.

Below is the list of my qualifications.
