About me

Are you looking for therapy where you can be authentically yourself and feel genuinely understood? Has a fear of judgment or being misunderstood by others held you back from getting the support you need? I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist with a special interest in working with clients who have ADHD, are autistic, or are exploring whether they might be neurodivergent. If this sounds like you, and you're considering therapy, I'd love to hear from you. I offer a free online initial session where you can find out more and we can explore whether I'm the right therapist for you.

Whatever you're going through, therapy is a space to explore, process, and understand your feelings and experiences. You might be autistic, have ADHD, or perhaps you are exploring whether you might be neurodivergent and want to unpack what that means for you. Neurodiversity shapes how a person experiences the world, bringing gifts as well as challenges. As a neurodivergent therapist, I know first-hand the importance of talking to someone who gets it.

I provide psychodynamic therapy, which means that in our sessions I can help you to explore how past life experiences and relationships shape your life today.  Therapy is completely confidential and you can talk about anything and everything - whether that's something you're currently going through, experiences you've had in the past, or feelings and anxieties about the future. As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I understand how neurodivergence interacts with different parts of life and we can explore how your experience of being neurodivergent plays a part in the issues you'd like to talk about in therapy.

You can be your full, authentic self in our sessions, and this means that all communication styles and ways of self-regulating are equally valid and welcome in therapy sessions. For example, it's completely okay to stim and fidget during therapy sessions if you want to, and there's no pressure to make eye contact if that feels uncomfortable for you. We can talk about any anxieties or concerns you might have about coming to therapy and adapt the way we work to make it a comfortable and engaging experience for you.

I provide both short-term and long-term psychodynamic therapy, either online or in person in Brighton & Hove. Online sessions are on Zoom, and can be either video calls or audio-only calls. I offer a free initial session on Zoom where we can discuss what you would like to explore in therapy and talk through any questions you have. Accessibility requirements can be discussed in the introductory call. Email me to book your free initial online session today.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
