About me
I offer an alternative way of working with clients inspired by personal and professional experiences. I am motivated to work with the person instead of a psychiatric label.
I support clients who are facing life’s challenges. These issues include but are not limited to self-esteem and confidence, relationships and intimacy, family dynamics, life transitions, body image, loss and grief, work-related stress, and experiences around personal growth and existential concerns. I work with adult individuals - supporting them in developing a better relationship with themselves and the people that matter most to them in their lives.
Each person’s life journey is different, so each approach is unique and tailored to you.
In the last decade or so, I have worked within the voluntary sector services, NHS primary care, community counselling services and private practice. I have experience working with people affected by a wide range of difficulties.
I am fully insured and adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Code of Ethics and Practice.
Confidentiality, respect and compassion are essential to my way of working. I am committed to my personal development and continue to expand my professional skills through regular supervision and ongoing training.
Training, qualifications & experience
In addition to a Diploma in Gestalt Counselling, I earned a Master’s in Health and Social Marketing. This additional training continues to enhance my attitude of, seeing people as inseparably linked with their social, cultural, political and ecological environments.
Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
