About me

"We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses." Carl Jung

I am a qualified, accredited psychotherapist and counsellor who started my journey as a client. I understand finding the right person to talk to is daunting and offer a warm, non-judgemental space for you to explore your concerns. These may have been bubbling up for many years or be new, related to a specific event. Either way, talking to someone outside of your family or social network really helps as you can say anything without fear of criticism or unwanted 'advice.'

I work with a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds using an integrative approach. This means I can tailor my practice to your personal needs. I also offer a free consultation to help you decide if you would like to work with me.

I start with creating a genogram (a rich, informative family tree) that helps us think together about your family of origin. This takes us beyond what was passed down consciously from generation to generation to the transgenerational - secrets or unspoken material that impacts your life. Clients enjoy this exploration as they feel 'really seen and understood'. It also helps to warm them up to themes without triggering too many difficult feelings in the early stages of therapy.

I use a combination of talking therapy and creative methods with clients. It can help to externalize difficult issues by writing them down or exploring them with small world objects. I will ask you to think about the roles you play at work, home and socially as well as the different parts of your inner world focusing on what already serves you well and what you would like to change.

Thank you for reading this. If you are interested in learning more or having a free consultation, please contact me.
