About me

I offer a FREE 15 minute phone consultation - get in touch to find out more.

I understand that what has happened to you and what you are experiencing is challenging and comes with difficult thoughts and feelings. I can offer a safe place where you can explore those thoughts and feelings without judgment or pressure. Whether you are looking to understand your self more, be understood or to find out a path to feel happier and think differently, I can help. I work with many different challenges including anxiety, depression, stress and many more.

Counselling is a dynamic process that involves a partnership of exploration between the counsellor and the client. It is my desire that the client - counsellor relationship that we form is placed at the centre of the work, enabling the most impactful outcomes. Our time will be sensitive and explorative, ensuring that your experience is fulfilling, tailoring each counselling session to your needs.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor on the accredited register of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. A part of being an Integrative counsellor means that I take a flexible approach when working with clients as each person is unique. I ensure that each client feels secure and that their experience is not of a clinical 'model' or a bizarre encounter but rather a normal conversation with a specific purpose.

Reviews:

"I was really nervous when I went to my first session, having never had any counselling before, but Luke was really friendly, and did a great job of making me feel at ease. Then, as the sessions went on, it was so helpful, and I feel like I've learned so much about myself and about how to deal with difficulties, thanks to Luke's incredible questions and expertise. The whole process massively exceeded my expectations, and on top of that, Luke is a great guy!"
Rob Baker

"After receiving a couple of NHS services, Luke's approach was by far the best. He used very uncomplicated methods that were incredibly effective. That transformation over 2 months was more than I could possibly of asked for."
Danny Fletcher

"Luke is a kind and highly skilled counsellor. I was so scared to begin counselling but Luke made me feel comfortable and at ease from the first session. He caters your sessions to you and your needs, and helps you see your progress as you go. He uses different styles for different issues, from goal setting to emotional issues, Luke can cover all bases. You can be confident with Luke, you're in safe hands. I HIGHLY recommend. Thank you, Luke."

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
