About me
Hi, I’m Louisa, creator of Mind and Body Therapies. For over 13 years, I’ve supported people through difficult times, helping them navigate their mental health, take care of their wellbeing, and move towards living the life they want. I strive to help you feel more content, calm, connected and capable.
Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious or low. Maybe you’re struggling with relationships, past experiences, your sense of self, or simply finding it difficult to cope with everything life is asking of you. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can offer a space to pause, understand what’s happening, and begin to make meaningful changes.
I believe therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Sometimes talking is exactly what we need, while at other times the body needs attention too. My approach therefore brings together integrative talking therapies with polyvagal-informed techniques, mindfulness, meditation and yoga, supporting you to reconnect with both mind and body.
I work with a wide range of mental health and wellbeing concerns, with particular experience in trauma, recovery following mental health crises, experiences of abuse, and neurodiversity. I also support people experiencing anxiety, depression and other emotional challenges. Together, we can explore patterns in relationships, attachment, boundaries and recurring cycles, as well as themes of forgiveness, reconnection and self-understanding.
My aim is to provide a safe, structured and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgement. Therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness, build practical skills, work through difficulties and find new ways of responding to the challenges in your life.
You can choose from online therapy, in-person sessions, or nature-based ‘walk-and-talk’ therapy. For some people, being outdoors and moving while talking can create a different kind of space for reflection and connection.
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of something different. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. I’m here to support and empower you as you move towards greater calm, connection and wellbeing.
