About me
Perhaps you have reached a point where things feel difficult to manage on your own, or you may simply feel that something needs to change. Whatever has brought you to therapy, you do not have to navigate it alone.
I am an integratively trained counsellor and psychotherapist with a humanistic and relational core. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and that feeling genuinely heard, understood and accepted can be an important part of creating meaningful change.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever may be bringing you to therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of your experiences, explore patterns that may be affecting you and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw upon different therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to you as an individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. I also work somatically, recognising the connection between our minds and bodies and how emotions, stress and past experiences can sometimes be felt physically as well as emotionally.
You may be struggling with something that feels difficult to put into words, feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, questioning yourself or finding that past experiences continue to affect you in the present. Whatever you are experiencing, therapy can provide a space to explore this at your own pace.
I believe that you are the expert in your own experience. My role is not to tell you what you should do, but to work alongside you with curiosity, compassion and respect, helping you to understand yourself more deeply and explore what may support you moving forward.
My Service
I offer face to face and online counselling and psychotherapy, providing a confidential and supportive space that you can access from the comfort of your own home. Sessions online take place via Zoom and last approximately 50 minutes.
Online therapy can offer flexibility and accessibility, particularly for those who may find attending a physical practice difficult or who feel more comfortable beginning therapy from a familiar environment.
There is no expectation that you will know exactly what to say or where to begin. We can take time to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, safety and openness, before exploring the issues that have brought you to therapy.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem or simply feel that life has become difficult to manage, I am here to offer a space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and a BA (Honours) degree in Education with Psychology and Counselling, which has provided me with comprehensive training in a range of therapeutic approaches and theories. My training and work ethic have a strong humanistic and relational foundation, alongside an understanding of cognitive, behavioural and mindfulness-informed approaches.
As an integrative practitioner, I recognise that no two people are the same. I therefore draw upon different therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to your individual needs, experiences and goals.
Over the course of my career, I have worked with clients who have :
- social anxiety
- Low mood and depression
- Parental/carer difficulties
- Relational trauma (physical and mental)
- Emotional overwhelm
- Life changes
- Low self-esteem and self worth
- PTSD and past experiences.
My experience has developed my ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships and to provide a space where clients can feel heard, understood and accepted. I recognise that seeking therapy can feel daunting, and I aim to create a supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels manageable for them.
I understand that people respond to difficult experiences in different ways, and I approach each client with curiosity, compassion and without judgement. My integrative training enables me to adapt the way I work according to the individual, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
