About me

As a Registered Member of the BACP and an Integrative Counsellor, I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds. My counselling approach is mainly based on person-centred and psychodynamic principles, and I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework.

Training, qualifications & experience

My goal is to provide you with a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where you can express yourself openly. I have helped numerous individuals manage various challenges, including anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, troubling thoughts and feelings, panic attacks and trauma. My services are available to clients aged 18 and above, and I offer both online counselling (using Zoom or MS Teams) and phone counselling.

I currently hold an employed role where I provide specialised training on topics such as Mental Health in the Workplace, Stress Management, and Secondary Vicarious Harm in a corporate company. I also offer well-being support to all employees within the organisation. Additionally, I recently volunteered at Number22 Counselling Agency, where I provided counselling services to both adults and young people. In the past, I worked as an Operations Manager in an NHS service for over two years, where I was responsible for ensuring the company's health, safety, and well-being.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Experiencing difficult situations can be overwhelming and leave us feeling sad, worried, and tired. I firmly believe that everyone's counselling experience should be tailored to their individual needs, as there is no one-size-fits-all approach. My top priority is ensuring you feel supported and safe during our sessions.

It's an honour for me to be a part of your unique journey towards healing. Together, we will explore your unspoken emotions, thoughts, and experiences. You can trust that I am committed to helping you achieve your goals. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to make contact to schedule a free 30-minute consultation.

“Do not expect to be “cured” after the first session. There are no quick fixes. Healing is a process, and sometimes, it’s a long one. Be patient with yourself.”
