About me

I am a clinical psychologist with over eight years of experience working in mental health services in the NHS and third sector.

I have worked with people with severe anxiety disorders including OCD, social anxiety, BDD, and emetophobia. I have experience of working with individuals who struggle to maintain all kinds of relationships and who want to explore their patterns of relating. I have worked with mothers in the perinatal period, and parents who are working hard to support their children experiencing difficulties.

I have extensive experience working with individuals who experienced extreme hardship and relational trauma in their early lives, and can support people to make sense of this and change how it impacts their life now.

I am currently training in Schema Therapy, which helps people to explore how early experiences and deeply held beliefs about themselves impact their current ways of being and relationships with others.

My Approach

Both starting therapy and finding a therapist can be difficult. I can support you to clarify what you would like to work on in therapy, and we can develop a shared understanding of how you would like life to be different. From there, we can establish a direction and approach which suits you best.

I see having a warm, open therapeutic relationship as very important and a key part of helpful therapy. I also believe it is imperative that therapy recognises socio-political context, for example, discrimination and oppression.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy both in person in Herne Hill and online. If you're interested in working together or asking some more questions, please contact me to request a free 15 minute telephone or video call consultation.
