About me

I am interested in the influence of our past experiences and relationships on shaping our sense of self, and I specialise in work with couples and individuals seeking to better navigate their relationships and develop a deeper understanding and connection with self and others.

Relationship therapy provides a calm space away from the demands of daily life to make sense of feelings and experiences.  There are many varied and individual reasons why people come to therapy, and we will address the concerns you bring as we move through a process of thought and reflection towards a shared understanding of the issues.

Part of our work together will be to recognise the ways in which you relate to yourself and others and uncover patterns of behaviour and thinking which may be rooted in the past. This will allow the possibility for new insight and awareness to emerge, enabling the potential for change, for a more fulfilling, contented life.

In my practice, I value diversity and difference and strive to be open and inclusive.  Weekly sessions take place in a kind, compassionate and creative environment.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained and qualified as a Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapist at Tavistock Relationships, London. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics and confidentiality requirements.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
