About me

CBT Therapist who treats adults/young people and primary school age children.

In my experience, we as a society are making progress in how we talk about our mental health. Schools, universities and work-places are beginning to recognise that nearly everyone at some stage in life, benefit from therapy. Talking to a skilled therapist, should not be viewed as,  'self-indulgent, showing weakness or embarrassing', instead therapy is you, 'taking control, safe-guarding your future, unscrambling intrusive thoughts or emotions', within a supportive, compassionate and professional relationship.

In my therapy sessions, you can expect to find unconditional positive regard, empathy, authenticity, honesty, and respect within the boundaries of our relationship. Being accepted for who you are and understanding yourself is a powerful thing and together we can create a solid therapeutic relationship based on these fundamental principles.

Individual CBT sessions- either in person at a Glasgow City Centre location or on Zoom.

I treat anxiety, low self -esteem, ADHD, disorganised eating, and dysregulated emotional wellbeing among other areas listed below.

Group Therapy Sessions (3 hrs) - For example,  Anxiety with Yoga, Menopause with Yoga, Managing Stress with Yoga.

Group sessions (3 hrs) include an hour and a half CBT input on anxiety management (for example), a tea break, followed by an hour long yoga session. This takes place in a Glasgow City Centre location.

In addition, I can come to your place of work or location to offer group sessions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
