About me
Hi there, my name is Jolene Graham, and I am a humanistic counsellor based in Northern Ireland. I offer a remote, person-centred counselling service for adults and young people aged 16+.
As a Humanistic/person-centred therapist, I truly believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is the most important aspect of the therapeutic process. I provide a warm and welcoming environment where you can explore any issues, past experiences or life challenges, in a safe and confidential setting, with a trained professional.
During our time together, you can expect relaxed and informal conversations, where you control the narrative and direction of the sessions. Through empathy and empowerment, I will journey with you as you navigate any uncomfortable situations or emotions, providing support and encouragement along the way.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am qualified to work with adults and young people over 16, and offer a compassionate space for those who have been affected by a wide range of incidents, losses and trauma; I also provide support to clients who just need to talk or vent about their lives in an unbiased and impartial setting. We are living in uncertain times, and it can be difficult to maintain optimism with the current economic crisis, life seems to be so difficult for most people. For me, creating a safe environment for clients to explore their issues without fear of being judged, is the highest privilege and honor.
Together we can investigate any feelings or difficulties you are going through and work towards making sense of these experiences to gain more self-awareness and clarity. I will work at your pace to help you discover ways of coping that can help you resolve your difficulties and move toward healing and positive growth.
Areas I can help with include:
· Feelings of anxiety and stress
· Feeling overwhelmed by life's circumstances
· low mood, depression or a lack of meaning in your life
· loss and grief
· Isolation and loneliness
· Difficulties in relationships
· low self worth, lack of confidence
· A personal crisis
It can take courage to engage in counselling but whatever brings you to therapy, I will treat with sensitivity, understanding, care and support to help you find ways to work through the challenges that you may be facing.
