About me
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
My name is Jo, I am a qualified MBACP Therapist, Child Psychotherapist and Life Coach based in the Warrington area. I work with Adults, Children, Young People Couples and Families.
Do you experience feelings such as Anxiety? Depression? Low Confidence/Self-esteem? Loss? Anger? Trauma? PTSD? Emotional Regulation? Menopause? ADHD? ASD?
Do you struggle to make sense or understand your feelings, emotions or behaviours?
Do you feel understood by others?
I practice as an Integrative Therapist using skills and techniques from various theories, to support and walk alongside clients to enhance their therapeutic journey.
Every client is unique. Therefore, it is the highest importance to myself that every client has a positive experience. Therapeutic relationships are nurtured during sessions to ensure every individual feels comfortable and at ease.
I understand that Counselling and the ongoing journey can take courage and at time take you through some painful experiences and memories. However, for most people it proves to be a powerful and empowering step towards personal growth and healing were you are always listened too.
I understand life can at times be a struggle for yourself, child/young person or loved one. Therefore, I offer a calm, safe and non-judgmental environment enabling people to reflect, discuss and explore feelings and emotions in a confidential manner.
I offer a variety of techniques to suit every individual in telling their story with suitable interventions and strategies to suit every clients needs.
I take part in regular training, CPD and workshops to enhance my practice. I feel that growth is paramount to ensure professional standards are always met within the Counselling room.
I have gained many skills and experiences within my role as a Therapist and have been complimented for my openness, kindness and empathic manner. I feel these are the tools needed to build a strong Therapeutic relationship.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
