About me

I am a systemic and family psychotherapist with 20 years of experience in the NHS, private and voluntary sector. This means that I can confidently talk to you about any difficulties or problems you would like to bring to the space.  I am particularly experienced in therapy when there are difficulties with relationships (couples, family, siblings, work).

I work with many clients dealing with challenges in their partner, family, sibling, friendship or work relationships. You might recognise some of these happening for you as well?

Are you arguing a lot with your partner or struggling to communicate your needs? Is one of you ill or grieving? Are you finding the beginning or end of a relationship challenging?

Do you wonder why you keep ending up in the same unhealthy relationships and can't figure out why or what to do about it?

If your relationships are not going well you might feel surprised by how stressful and unhappy you feel. The messiness and confusion can get in the way of knowing what to do or where to start. If you don't address these tensions you might begin to feel increasingly sad, anxious and overwhelmed.

Talking it through, untangling the confusion and understanding a bit more what is going on will give you a new perspective and way forward. I can help with this.
Therapy sessions are a lot about talking, reflecting, looking backwards and noticing patterns, finding different ways to think and talk about difficult things, having a place to speak honestly and openly, and ultimately knowing yourself better. It is also a place to start practicing how to make lasting changes.

Please contact me by email to book a free introductory call. This is an opportunity for us to meet, talk a little bit about what brings you to therapy and what happens in therapy.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
