About me

Hi, my name is Jen.

Whether this is your very first time reaching out for therapy, or you’re returning after some time away, I want to offer you a heartfelt welcome. Taking this step can feel daunting, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to be here.

I am passionate about supporting you through any challenges you may be facing. I understand how overwhelming life can feel, with increasing stress levels, anxiety and depression. My therapy sessions offer you a safe and compassionate space to explore your challenges, rebuild your self-worth, and reconnect with your inner strength.

Clients often share that our work together feels like coming home to themselves, to a place of comfort once lost, and brings back clarity and a sense of belonging.

I am a trusted figure in the mental health sector, with over twenty‑five years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most difficult challenges. Over the years, I have worked with reputable organisations and have also supported people in the public eye, those who are used to being seen, reminding them that therapy is a space where they can be themselves.

My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing on various approaches to meet each person’s unique needs. I have helped people facing anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, including pet loss, trauma, ADHD, OCD, domestic abuse, and a wide range of other emotional struggles. As a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, I am trained to support clients with more than forty types of loss, both physical and emotional, including the profound and often overlooked grief that comes with pet loss.

My practice is grounded in gentleness, empathy, and respect, creating a safe space where healing and growth can begin.

Stress, worry, depression and anxiety are very much at the heart of much of the work I do. Such emotions and feelings can become exhausting, affecting your sleep, confidence, and relationships, and may leave you feeling stuck or unable to cope. Therapy sessions are designed to create a safe space where you can begin to ease life’s pressures and find ways forward that feel manageable and achievable.

Grief and loss come in many shapes and forms, from bereavement to the end of a relationship, estrangement, or significant life transitions. Many of my clients have told me they felt overwhelmed, isolated, and uncertain about how to move forward. If this is you and you are struggling, we can explore ways to find hope, strength, and a path toward healing.

For over two decades, I have spent much of my career working with trauma and abuse, including childhood experiences.  The impact of abuse weighs heavily, whether physical or psychological, leaving many people struggling with low self‑worth or painful patterns in relationships. Your therapy sessions will be held with care, understanding and respect.

I support many clients living with ADHD. Therapy offers a compassionate space to explore the emotional impact, deepen their self‑understanding, and discover practical strategies that feel manageable. I aim to help you feel empowered, understood, and confident.

Whatever challenges you are facing, you don’t have to go through this alone.

"Ignoring your feelings is like trying to close the door on a storm"

Using person‑centred therapy, I will not impose solutions but instead offer a safe space for you to explore your own solutions, thoughts and feelings whilst developing your inner confidence.

Psychodynamic therapy, I can help you bring unconscious thoughts and patterns into your awareness. I will support you in working through and resolving any long‑standing or unconscious difficulties.

Therapy sessions may also draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to gently challenge any thoughts, feelings or behaviours that no longer serve you.

By integrating these approaches, there is space for emotional freedom, to build resilience, and hope for a more fulfilling life.

Whatever has brought you here, your journey matters and will be held with respect and care.

If you are seeking support face-to-face or online, you are warmly invited to reach out for a complimentary ten-minute introductory call. There’s no pressure, just a gentle opportunity to see if this feels like the right fit for you.

You can call or text me on 07594 980821, or email mytimewithjen@gmail.com. I’ll respond with care, honesty, and respect for wherever you are in your journey.

You deserve the support that meets you where you are.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I offer counselling both online and in person. My therapy rooms are based in Redditch and Stratford-upon-Avon. Both locations offer a calm, welcoming environment, designed to promote emotional safety and ease during our sessions.

Why did I choose to become a counsellor?

I have always been interested in the wellness of others, especially those who struggle with emotions. My passion for people to be well and feel accepted and understood has led me to spend the past 25 years working with people from all backgrounds with all sorts of emotional issues on a long-term and short-term basis. My approach is holistic and client-centred, adapting to each person's unique needs in the session.

How I work with my clients.

My approach offers person-centred therapy, welcoming you to a supportive, non-judgemental environment offering complete acceptance and empathy. This allows you to explore your feelings and thoughts freely. Where appropriate, a thoughtful exploration of your past to bring clarity and healing to your present. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can help you to gently reshape the thoughts or behaviours that no longer serve you, fostering a positive outlook on life. Psychodynamic approaches help discover how we got here. Furthermore, therapy will help you develop the skills to navigate life’s challenges with calmness and mindfulness.

What I do..

My approach thoughtfully combines different therapeutic interventions to suit the unique contours of your life’s story. My sessions are a safe space, free from judgment, where every emotion is validated, and every experience is respected.

With me, you’ll find a warm-hearted professional who listens deeply and will work with you and believe wholeheartedly in your potential for renewal and growth.
