About me

You have worked hard to build the life you have. And yet something isn't right.

Perhaps you're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix. Perhaps you're succeeding by every external measure and quietly wondering why it doesn't feel like enough. Perhaps you and your partner are high-functioning in every other area of your lives, but something between you has quietly broken down. Perhaps you're a young person who is already carrying more than feels fair, and the people around you keep telling you you're doing brilliantly, which somehow makes it worse.

This is the territory I work in.

I am a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist and JMT-credentialled coach working with high-achieving adults, couples, and young adults. My specialism is the psychological experience of people who are, by every outward measure, doing well, and who are quietly struggling in ways that don't fit the standard picture of someone who needs help.

What makes my practice unusual is that I come from your world.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent 15 years as a senior programme manager leading major transformations at organisations including Bupa, AstraZeneca, NHS Professionals, and Transport for London. I know what it means to carry authority, to operate at pace, to perform under pressure, and to feel the cumulative toll that high-stakes work takes on a person. I also know what it means for a couple when two high-achieving people are both running on empty, and when professional success quietly begins to cost a relationship its intimacy. You will not need to explain your world to me. I have been in it.

For younger clients, I offer the same quality of depth and attention. Adolescence and early adulthood are increasingly high-pressure experiences; the expectations are real, the self-comparison is relentless, and the support is often inadequate. I work with young adults in a way that takes their experience seriously, without condescension.

My clinical training is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on psychodynamic insight, person-centred therapy, CBT-informed tools, ACT, and the Personal Consultancy model. I am also culturally competent and experienced in working across difference, whether that is race, background, faith, or identity. Our work together will be tailored to you, not a protocol, not a fixed number of sessions, but a collaborative process at a pace that is genuinely yours.

I work online UK-wide and in-person in Bedford. I hold limited availability for new clients and welcome an initial consultation to explore whether we are a good fit.

My style:

Clients describe my approach as warm, grounding, and honest. I offer a space where you do not have to manage how you are perceived, where you can stop performing and simply be. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, and through feeling truly seen, not just understood intellectually.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, which means I do not apply a single fixed model to every client. Instead, I draw on a range of evidence-based frameworks,  psychodynamic, person-centred, CBT-informed, ACT, and the Personal Consultancy model. I use clinical judgement to determine what is most useful for you at each stage of our work.  Within that, there are some things that remain constant.  I work at relational depth. The quality of the therapeutic relationship is not incidental to the work; it is the work. I take confidentiality seriously, and I create a space that is genuinely free from judgment.  I am also culturally fluent. I understand what it means to navigate spaces not designed for you, whether that is a boardroom, a profession, or a mental health system. I do not require my clients to translate their lived experience into a framework that was not built for them.  Sessions are 50 minutes and held weekly. I also offer intensive formats and fixed-term programmes for clients who prefer a structured container. Fees are available on enquiry.

Getting started:

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are used to managing alone. Our first session is simply a conversation, with no pressure and no obligation. We explore what has brought you here, what you are hoping for, and whether we feel like a good fit.

If you are looking for a therapist to truly connect with your inner world, I would love to hear from you.

Ready to start?

I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can talk through what's bringing you to therapy and whether the way I work feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

ACC
