About me

Hi everyone, I’m Hollie. I’m a BACP-registered psychotherapist. Most importantly, I aim to offer a safe space for all. My therapy is extremely human, warm, curious, creative, and can even be fun! but always aims to be a gentle landing space to go to when you're struggling

I work with a wide range of clients and have particular interest in supporting people who are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, or living with PTSD and C-PTSD. I’ve spent over a decade supporting people from many different walks of life with their mental health, and I know therapy can look very different for each person.

I warmly invite you to consider what therapy with me might look like

Person-centred experiential therapy is less about offering a one-size-fits-all solution, it really is about the relationship we build together, where we can create a space of safety and acceptance. My promise is that I would invite you to therapy and receive you as you are, without judgement, with lots of care, with the main goal that you feel truly seen, understood, respected, and feel able to bring anything to our sessions at your own pace.

Sessions look very different for each person, some people don't mind speaking right away, but I have a deep respect for the different ways people process emotionally, I can adapt sessions to meet you however you process things, whether that's with words, art, journalling, music, imagery, sensory toys, or whatever works for you :) The aim is that you can show up without expectation

A bit about me

I am a cis woman (she/her) and am also neurodivergent myself, so have a lot of respect and understanding for the many different ways people experience and navigate life.

Outside of therapy, I love being outdoors in nature (so walk and talk therapy is available), finding a new crafty hobby, exploring with my dog Ziggy, reading, and gigs. Creativity and curiosity are huge parts of my life, and they often shape the way I connect with people (tangents and side quests are always welcome).

Next steps- not currently accepting new clients

I am currently full for therapy clients so will not be accepting new clients at this time. However, if you think we would be a good fit, please do feel free to get in touch and enquire about therapy and you can be added to the waiting list. Unfortunately, due to the open-ended nature of therapy I cannot say how long the waiting list will be, but as soon as a space opens up, you will be contacted. In the meantime, if you're still struggling, I'd recommended reaching out to another therapist for some support :)

Kindly,

Hollie

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
