About me

Am I the right therapist for you?

In the face of life’s many challenges you may find yourself experiencing anxiety, approaching burnout and feeling unable to cope in your usual way. Sometimes you may know the source of your feelings...sometimes it may not be clear. I believe that sharing and talking things through with an experienced professional, who is solely focused on you and your needs, can make the difference in helping you find a way through. I find the relationship you have with your counsellor is the key ingredient in effective therapy and to this end, I offer an initial consultation (via phone or Zoom) to help you see whether I am right for you and a good fit for what you need at this point in your life.

How I work...

I am committed to providing you with a relaxed, calm and trusted space, helping you to pause, reflect and make sense of what is going for you.

I'm an integrative counsellor which means I draw on a range of therapeutic methods uniquely tailored towards you and your needs. I also have extensive experience as an executive coach, having spent the last 15 years working with business leaders in the corporate world. I integrate my coaching experience into my counselling approach as needed.

My counselling and coaching clients often say that they find me easy to talk to...finding me warm, genuine and accepting while keeping a focus on what they want to gain through the therapeutic process.

Where I work...

I offer online sessions via Zoom and I offer in person sessions through The Practice who have rooms in Weybridge and Guildford in Surrey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
